Providing access to distributed resources as a web-service from infrastructure to application level.
During works on the project, problems on research of access methods to high-performance resources and on development of an experimental sample of hardware-software platform, providing access to high-performance resources as Web-services were solved.
During the project the following results were achieved:
- created a new method of hardware-software platforms development, providing access to high-performance resources as Web-services;
- based on the created method, an experimental sample of hardware-software platform, providing access to high-performance resources as Web-services was implemented and published for free access. The access to the experimental platform sample is available via the Internet on a website: http://unihub.ru;
- provided education materials on development and implementation of hardware-software platforms, providing access to high-performance resources as Web-services;
- under the developed program of implementing research results in educational process educational courses "Basics course for solving CM problems using OpenFOAM, SALOME and ParaView open source packages"; "OpenFOAM package extended course"; "OpenFOAM package – a platform for solving CM problems" were created and published. Educational courses could be accessed on the page - https://unihub.ru/groups/opencfd/wiki.
The base feature of the experimental platform sample developed under this project is a combination of modern Web 2.0 conceptions (user groups, forums, wiki, etc.) with the possibility of access to applied models and collaboration of distributed (in geographical and organizational terms) collectives.
During implementation of the project modern methods and approaches to development of distributed systems, conception of hardware and software multi-layer structure, conception of free software were used.
The project is implemented on the base of the "University cluster" program infrastructure and "Open Cirrus" project, which allowed using solutions, that consider the needs of real users and based on international open standards.
The project was implemented under the Program "Scientific and academic and teaching staff of innovative Russia for 2009-2013".
